As a celebration of the prophet Muhammad’s birthday, Mawlid groups from 5 nations (Egypt, Indonesia, Morocco, Syria and United Arab Emirates) were brought together to create a dynamic theatrical performance at the Cultural Foundation Theatre in Abu Dhabi. A kinetic cloth with projection and lighting were used to create unique spaces for each group to perform. The performance culminated in a combined performance of a song composed and recorded specifically for the event.
